Resimac raises money and awareness for blood cancer

This year, the Resimac Group team participated in the World's Greatest Shave, a fun annual event whereby participants shave or colour their hair to raise money and awareness for the cause.

All funds raised for the initiative go towards helping Leukaemia-affected families with the emotional and practical support they need, while also helping scientists search for better ways to find and fight blood cancers.

The team had an ambitious target of $10,000, and with Resimac Group's dollar-matched donation, they were thrilled to announce they'd raised more than double their target.

Through the generosity of colleagues, friends, family and customers, team members Prath, Marcell and Lee raised over $20,000 for the Leukemia Foundation.

Scott McWilliam, CEO of Resimac Group, said the organisation was proud to raise money for this important cause.

"The contribution and awareness that has been led by three of our team members is inspiring. We're grateful to our colleagues, customers and broader community for pitching in and supporting this initiative, enabling us to raise more than $20,000. This donation will go a long way towards making the lives of those who are impacted by this devastating disease just a little bit easier.

"Blood cancer is a god-awful disease. Every 30 minutes, someone is delivered the news that they have blood cancer in Australia. We have a number of people in our community who have been personally affected by this, and it was important for us to show our support."
